Hope you are keeping well and staying active.
Since our last update we have been liaising with various regulatory authorities, landowners, stakeholders, sponsors, contractors and suppliers whilst keeping up to date with government announcements with regards to hosting a re-scheduled event later in the year or postponing until 2021.
Whilst a specific date has been proposed we won’t announce a new date until all the relevant contracts are in place and government regulations adhered to for you to enjoy your adventure in stunning Lake Tekapo.
All those who registered for the original event date – race race entries will be automatically transferred to the new event date once made available.
All those who registered for the original event date who can’t attend a possible re-scheduled date in 2020 will be able to transfer their race entries to next years event… Alternatively those who did register for this years original event can transfer to an alternative Active QT event.
We’ll keep you posted…
Have a great weekend.

Hope you are keeping well and staying active.
Over the last couple of weeks we have been monitoring the situation around the Covid-19 outbreak.
As I’m sure you are aware the New Zealand Government in conjunction with the Ministry of Health has placed a ban on all events for the time being.
With the above in mind, whilst in continued consultation with regulatory authorities, stakeholders and sponsors we have had to make the difficult decision to postpone this years event until further notice.
This has not been a easy decision however we have to be respectful of decisions being made for the health and well-being of the community.
For all those who have registered to date there will be a number of options available to you.
1. Participate in the postponed event later in the year when permitted… We are just waiting to hear back from regulatory authorities with regards to a proposed new event date.
2. Transfer your registration to an alternative Active QT event when events are permitted to go ahead…
3. Transfer your registration to next years event.
We’re really sorry to bring you this news however as you know the situation is currently out of our control.
We’ll keep you posted with updates but in the mean time stay active and heathy and keep in touch.

Ministry of Health – Advice for public events and mass gatherings
Like many other events around the country we are awaiting updated health and safety regulations and guidelines to best protect everyone’s wellbeing at events.
We will be updating the website with guidelines and recommendations accordingly whilst adhering to government regulations as they become available.
This is unchartered territory in the events world and we have to be mindful and respectful of the decisions being made for the well-being of our communities.
We will keep you posted with further updates.
Keep you posted…
