*COVID-19 Latest Event Update: 24th February 2022

Hi everyone!

We hope you are keeping well and staying active.

Sadly as a result of COVID-19 cases ever increasing in New Zealand and so many uncertainties with regards to future mandate changes regulated by the New Zealand Government, we have had to make the very difficult decision to cancel this years event.

With over ten events taking place across multiple courses combined with a very busy start, transition and finish area, it is very difficult to coordinate logistics in order to keep the sheer volume of participants, support crew and spectators in the different events separated.

At the same time, this event is traditionally a winter multisport event and in 2020 as a result of the pandemic we did host a re-scheduled event in November 2020, but sadly the participant numbers in the spring we far fewer than the usual winter turnout and as a result of these circumstances together with so many uncertainties, it is simply not feasible to host a postponed event later in the year.

We understand this is not the news you wanted to hear however the safety and wellbeing of all involved is of upmost importance.

We will keep you posted with future developments and in the mean time, look after yourselves, stay active and we will keep you posted with further updates.

Hi everyone!

We hope you are keeping well and staying active.

As of 11:59pm on Sunday 23rd January 2022, the New Zealand Government announced that all of New Zealand would move to the RED setting under the new Traffic Light Protection Framework.

With the above in mind we are in discussions with all regulatory authorities, stakeholders and event partners with regards to the plans for this years event on Sunday 5th June 2022.

As of today, the Queen’s Birthday weekend event on Sunday 5th June 2022 is on HOLD.
