*COVID-19 Latest Event Update: 24th February 2022

Hi everyone!

We hope you are keeping well and staying active.

Sadly as a result of COVID-19 cases ever increasing in New Zealand and so many uncertainties with regards to future mandate changes regulated by the New Zealand Government, we have had to make the very difficult decision to cancel this years event.

It is very difficult to coordinate logistics in order to keep the sheer volume of participants, support crew and spectators separated throughout event – especially at the start and slip n slide finish line but more so at the different colour zones.

We understand this is not the news you wanted to hear however the safety and wellbeing of all involved is of upmost importance.

All those who registered for this years event will have their event entries automatically transferred to the next event.

We will keep you posted with future developments and in the mean time, look after yourselves, stay active and we will keep you posted with further updates.

For the safety and wellbeing of all involved with the event whilst adhering to regulations set out by the Ministry of Health around mass gatherings, we have had to make the very difficult decision to cancel this Sundays event and reschedule to Sunday 27th March 2022 *TBD

All participants registered to date will have their event entries automatically transferred to the new date. An email will also be sent confirming this update and future plans.

Hope you all had a great weekend.
 
As you’ll be aware, as of 11:59pm last night, New Zealand moved in to *Red in the new traffic light system which naturally complicates many things when coordinating events.
 
Meetings are taking place today with relevant stake holders to discuss the viability of hosting Sundays event for the safety and well-being of all involved.
 
We’ll update you later today with our plans.
 
If the event has to be cancelled – all participants registered to date will have their registrations moved to a rescheduled date in the coming months.
